We Have Events Happening Each Month!

Each month AWC Toledo has something going on. We have monthly meetings as well as a regional awards event which happens every year.  Here are the events which have been scheduled for the year:

Monthly Meetings

Join us on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company in Downtown Toledo.  Networking starts from 11:30-12; Lunch follows from 12-1:00 p.m.  Cost for lunch is $18 for AWC Members or $25 for Nonmembers.  First-Time Guests can attend for $18.  2008 Calender of meetings are coming up soon.

• September 11th, 2008 - Mike Dockins, Associate Attorney for Fraser, Clemens, Martin & Miller LLC, Topic: Intellectual Property
• October 9th, 2008 - Sally Perz, Former State Representative, Topic: Campaign Preparation.
• November 13th, 2008 - Steve Timofeev, Director of WebArt, Topic: CMS Websites and SEO
• December - No Meeting
• January 8th, 2009 - Mark Frasco, President of COACT Associates Ltd. and Vista Group, Topic: The integration of Sales and Marketing
• February 12th, 2009 - Tasha Hussein-Black from the Regional Growth Partnership, Topic: Launching Small Businesses
• March 12th, 2009 - Jennifer Alford and Rob Davis from Creative Financial Partners Topic: The Purses are Still Open (Their presentation is about how people are still spending money, even in the state of the economy. They will go over what you should do as a company to get some of that business and attract customers despite the state of the economy.)

• December 13, 2007 - Nancy Zychowicz,  Lt. Governor of Marketing, Toastmasters, Topic: Public Speaking 
• January 10, 2008 - Marcia Sloan Latta, BGSU Alumni Relations.  Topic: Making the Ask
• February 14, 2008 - Joan Washburn, Washburn Endeavours, President. Topic: Developing Skills and Principles to Bring Clarity, Focus, Ease and Grace to All Aspects of Your Life.
• March 13, 2008 - Kandace York, Owens Community College, Workforce & Community Services Record Specialist. Topic: Targeted Marketing
• April 11,  2008 - Barbara Sears, City of Sylvania, President of Council. Topic: Women in Leadership Roles
• May 8, 2008 Roundtables #2 - More to Follow

Cost to attend the lunch is $18/member or $25/nonmember.  Program topics vary each month.

Regional Award Ceremony for Excellence in Communications

This year's Crystal Awards, Entry Drop Offs were Friday, September 19, from 1 -6:30 p.m. at Healthways, 6629 West Central Ave., Toledo

Event Celebration was Wednesday, November 19, from 5:30-9 p.m. at McMaster Center, Toledo Lucas County Public Library Main Branch, 325 Michigan St., Toledo
